Custom Homes
Osprey Homes also builds custom homes, in fact that is what most of our work was for the first twenty years in the business. And we still do a few as the blend of land development timing and construction schedule permits.
Osprey Homes' business plan is to have a steady flow of work for our partners, the suppliers and sub-contractors that make the high quality materials and bring their craftsmanship to the job. In this way they know that their schedule can be steady and the amount of work that they will have is high. It benefits our customers in many ways as our partners know that they will have to do the discriminating work required in a 5000 square foot custom home and they have to keep their skills sharp each day even when they are on a “production” home. The custom home buyer can realize some savings as our partners give us volume pricing since we do build so many homes.

Affordable Quality
What do you think of when you hear the word "Affordable"? Shoddy, flimsy & cheap are some of the words that come to mind. All things that you certainly don't want in your home and just the opposite of what you think of when you hear the word "Quality". So what is "Affordable Quality". We at Osprey Homes believe it is a difficult but obtainable goal. We strive to select the materials that will last longer, require less maintenance yet only cost a bit more up front. We work with all of our suppliers and subcontractors to benefit from special offers, characteristics of the land, new products and ideas. Our subcontractors are more like partners than vendors and understand that it is only through a satisfied customer that we all can keep going forward and getting better. They strive to deliver a quality product on time and budget. They work together to work out problems and also point out areas where improvements can be made or costs can be saved.
The single most important aspect of "Affordable Quality" is the design. Kaare has over 20 years being a design builder of custom homes. He designs all of the homes and does it from the inside out. His decades of hands on experience give him a critical ability to fit all of the components together to maximize use and minimize waste. This separates his designs from all other builders.
Affordable Quality is outstanding value. It stays away from fads and flash that will go out of style and are expensive to put in. It pays that little bit extra to buy something that lasts. It looks at the life cost of the product and the amount of fees that will be required to maintain it. It is the way that it should be done but so often isn't in our world today.
